Politically Incorrect Thoughts

Good Morning,

To debate that America was founded upon biblical principles is liberal blindness.  Not all were Christian, but our founders and framers were knowledgeable of the Scripture and believed the morality and life principles found in the Bible were a good basis for all American values and laws. For this reason, we see Bible verses quoted in the majority of speeches, and Bible principles are the root of most laws.  

Israel was founded upon the same Scripture, minus the New Testament. 

The only two nations in history that were founded upon the Bible of which I am aware are America and Israel. Yet, these two have followed a similar path resulting in equal ruin.  

Isaiah 8:6 “Forasmuch as this people refuseth the waters of Shiloah that go softly, and rejoice in Rezin and Remaliah's son;”

vs. 7 “Now therefore, behold, the Lord bringeth up upon them the waters of the river, strong and many, even the king of Assyria, and all his glory: and he shall come up over all his channels, and go over all his banks:”

vs. 8 “And he shall pass through Judah; he shall overflow and go over, he shall reach even to the neck; and the stretching out of his wings shall fill the breadth of thy land, O Immanuel.”

Shiloah, representing the Lord and His rule, calm and soft like a peaceful stream, is ignored, and ultimately rejected, resulting in the violent rule and attacks of other nations and other ideologies.  Assyria and their violent armies were going to overflow their banks and flood Israel resulting in turmoil and confusion.

America has refused the ease and order of biblical morality, Bible-reading families, attendance to Sunday School, and church-going moms and dads. America once held church services in the capitol building to make it easier for legislators (who were too busy in the area to attend church), and also had her leaders swear their oath of office with a hand on the Bible. That America has rejected the fundamental and foundational principles upon which the nation was built.

Rejecting the calm waters of biblical obedience and submission to scriptural morality, Americans find themselves in turmoil, flooded by the violent infusion of other nations and other cultures.  A Bible-reading populous led by Bible-reading Congress would understand this without a second thought. It was the days of Thomas Jefferson when the Barbery Pirates were already a problem, but it was a problem in North Africa, not in New York or Chicago; Jefferson considered these people an enemy of the worst kind. 

Lawmakers can argue all they want about immigration, assimilation, migration, or deportation, but the biggest issue is getting America back to the Bible, both in school and the home. The answer is a return to the calm waters of biblical submission. After all these years of mocking the Bible and Its truth, will God allow peace to return to our country?

Regardless of what God allows, He is still right, and the scriptures are still the best guide for the family and the government. 

Isaiah 1:7 “Your country is desolate, your cities are burned with fire: your land, strangers devour it in your presence, and it is desolate, as overthrown by strangers.” 

God wrote of the day when American wealth would be devoured by those not of our land. 

Deuteronomy 28:33 “The fruit of thy land, and all thy labours, shall a nation which thou knowest not eat up; and thou shalt be only oppressed and crushed alway:”

God warned that foreigners would ruin our rich, God-blessed land.

Ezekiel 30:12 “… I will make the land waste, and all that is therein, by the hand of strangers: I the LORD have spoken it.”

God warned that homes would be easily obtained by strangers and that citizens would do without.

Lamentations 5:2 “Our inheritance is turned to strangers, our houses to aliens.”

Moses spoke of foreigners (and those who oppose American values) who would hold office and pass laws to hurt the American people and values. 

Isaiah 28:43 “The stranger that is within thee shall get up above thee very high; and thou shalt come down very low.”

vs. 48 “Therefore shalt thou serve thine enemies which the LORD shall send against thee, in hunger, and in thirst, and in nakedness, and in want of all things: and he shall put a yoke of iron upon thy neck, until he have destroyed thee.”

vs. 49 “The LORD shall bring a nation against thee from far, from the end of the earth, as swift as the eagle flieth; a nation whose tongue thou shalt not understand;”

vs. 50 “A nation of fierce countenance, which shall not regard the person of the old, nor shew favour to the young:”

The prophet assured us that the judgment from God would come in our land and that foolish people, who know not the Bible, would stand around unaware they were losing everything. 

Hosea 7:9 “Strangers have devoured his strength, and he knoweth it not…” 

The only people who are surprised by this tragic, political state are those who hate God and biblical values or those who are simply ignorant of the Word of God.  The Word is always right, always timely, and always the answer.  When Americans get right with God, God will protect our land, and those who join us will also embrace our Bible-based ideals.  

Immigrants are not the problem, Americans who ignore God, biblical values, and God’s house are the cause of all the trouble.
